1. Mac Hippenhammer was born on November 5, 1998, in Virginia. Joan and Dave are his parents. Besides Mac, Joan and Dave also have one son – Alex, and one daughter – Casey. Mac completed his high school at R. Nelson Snider High School. His hometown is Fort Wayne, Indiana.

2. Mac Hippenhammer weighs 190 pounds and measures 5 feet 11 inches in height. 

3. Mac Hippenhammer became letterman four times under head coach Kurt Tippmann at R. Nelson Snider High School. He was also a player in the team that brought the league championship to the Panthers. He was the captain, leading Snider to a 64-61 victory over New Palestine in the 2015 IHSAA State Championship game with six receptions.  

4. Mac Hippenhammer signed a letter of intent to Penn State Nittany Lions in 2017. He also helped the Nittany Lions win their second consecutive meeting with the Panthers.

He is the first PSU player to have a touchdown on his first career reception since Irvin Charles in 2016 against Minnesota. He was one of the 40 players to make their Penn State debut.

6. Mac Hippenhammer was selected for Academic All-Big Ten Award in 2019 in his sophomore year. He appeared in eight games and played outfield for the Penn State baseball team, hitting .272 in the same year.

7. As a senior, Mac Hippenhammer earned first-team all-state honours. He had finished the year with 1,720 all-purpose yards and 18 touchdowns. His performance ranked him the number 5 recruit in the state of Indiana.

8. Mac Hippenhammer is a two-sport athlete. He plays both baseball and American football. He has played as a position player for Penn State’s baseball team and a wide receiver for the Nittany Lions. He even left the Penn State football team to focus on baseball in 2020.
