Blade Tidwell Injury Update – What Happened To Him?

After missing out on the first six weeks with the team, Tidwell finally made his return to the pitch at the end of March. As per Tennessee’s coach and support staff, the player suffered a shoulder soreness.
The Tennessee pitcher made his sophomore debut against Western Carolina on March 23, 2022. His recovery is still under process, and the coach wants him to rest another two weeks.
However, Tidewell didn’t undergo any surgery, which is a positive point for his career. He is regarded as the top prospect for the 2022 MLB Draft pick.

Blade Tidwell was born on June 8, 2001, and is 20 years of age in 2022.

The 20-year-old player club ball for the East Cobb Astros. Then, he got enrolled at Tennesse University and made his debut with the team in 2018. Then, in 2019, he got selected for the TSWA Class A All-State Team.
Before that, he played for Lorettee High School Team. He led the team to three straight tournament appearances, including a TSSAA Class A State Title in 2017.
During his career as a freshman in 2021, he led all Tennessee pitchers with 18 starts as a true freshman. He finished the season with 10 victories, which were the second-most by a freshman in program history.
