Bob took them to the gyms where he practiced, put 16-ounce boxing gloves on their little hands, and had them spar with one another. The boys flew off the treadmills after he put them on them and accelerated them.
Cody’s mother endured a lot of abuse from her husband John, who once became aggressive with her in front of Cody, then one-year-old, and Zach, then two. When John attacked her, she saw something strange in Zach’s cries and walked away.
While her mother had an influence in their life and not wanting her boys growing up punch-drunk, Jessica forbade boxing and redirected them, sending them to wrestling camps when they were four and five years old.
