Nottingham Forest Brennan Johnson’s Parents Are Familiar Face In Football, Father David Johnson Had An Excellent Career

The best young player in the Championship, Brennan Johnson, has the ability to shine on the biggest platforms. After 23 years, Nottingham Forest has returned to the Premier League as after enduring the arduous playoff saga, Steve Cooper’s team defeated Huddersfield in the championship game.

On August 20, 2022, Brennan had his first Premier League goal as he scored against Everton, sealing it 0-1. Johnson is British by nationality and went to Rushcliffe School and West Bridgford School in West Bridgford.

Brennan is the son of veteran footballer David Johnson and Alison. Johnson’s mother’s family is from Rhayader, and they allowed him to represent Wales. The Father of Brennan Johnson, David Anthony Johnson, is a former footballer who hails from Jamaica. He was born in Kingston and started his professional career with Manchester United in England. Nevertheless, he could not make it to the tea, so in 1995, Johnson joined Bury on a free transfer.

He is a proud father of his son. As Brennan played impeccably during his last match, David responded to his son’s achievement. His father spoke out on David’s forceful challenge on Richarlison during Sunday’s match between Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur.

Richarlison’s entrance helped Antonio Conte’s team guarantee they earned all three points in Spurs’ 2-0 victory since he made a difference after going on. He swiftly released the ball but soon recovered it and tried to drive towards the Forest backline. 

Brennan tackled him before he could finish, and Neco Williams then landed violently on the Brazilian’s body as it lay on the ground. After the game, David praised Brennan on social media, stating- “No one comes to the City Ground and takes the piss.”

Brennan’s current team, Nottingham Forest, used to be led by his father, David Johnson. David has totaled 46 goals in 148 games played for Forest. He spent his formative years playing football at Manchester United but could not advance to the top team.

Johnson was on loan at Sheffield Wednesday, Burnley, and Sheffield United. He also played for Ipswich Town and Bury. Furthermore, he competed in international soccer for the Jamaica Public Group and did score two goals in his four games for the Reggae Boyz.

David Johnson married Brennan’s mother, Alison, in 1995, giving birth to him on May 23, 2001. The couple was placed in seclusion in September 2009 after David was accused of having an illicit relationship. Following the breakup, David was accused of doing more than £6,000 worth of damage to Alison’s West Bridgford home and car.
