Dana Rettke Sister Leah Rettke Played Volleyball For Triton College
Dana Rettke sister Leah Rettke is also a volleyball player hailing from Illinois. Leah played volleyball at Triton college.
Leah’s primary position in the team was setter, and her secondary position was a right-side hitter. During her high school career, she played 41 matches out of 33, which her team won. She graduated high school in 2019 and joined Triton College.
Leah cites Dana as the inspiration behind her volleyball career and is a self-proclaimed number-one fan of Dana. Besides being an athlete, Leah likes to listen to a lot of indie music, with her favorites being Joji, Dayglow, and Rex Orange County.

Dana Retkke sister Leah Rettke plays volleyball in the setter position at Triton Trojan.
Leah was born on December 1, 2000, and is 22 years old. She has been playing volleyball since her time at high school. She was a part of a team named 1st Alliance 17 Onyx at Riverside Brookfield Township Highschool.
Leah’s career at Triton has so far seen over 30 matches. Just over the last year, 2020-2021, she played 15 matches out of 10, which she won.
Not only this incredible feat, but her success also seems to be skyrocketing as Leah was named the volleyball team’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) back in May of 2020 at Triton. Talking about this huge honor bestowed upon her, she thanked her teammates and her coaches. She added her coaches, Thomas Malesky and Rose Gronko, for teaching her a lot of volleyball both on and off the court.
Leah is not only noted for her volleyball skills within her college, but she was awarded by The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) as a part of their 2019-2020 Academic Student-Athelete Award. She was one of 158 student-athletes who received the award.
On the other hand, Leah is often seen sharing pictures with Robert Holubek, who is his college mate at Iowa.
Leah Is Always Supportive To Dana
Leah always supports her only sibling Dana from childhood as they play together.
Leah mentioned Dana’s five years of struggle to win a National Championship Trophy and has become her role model too. She added she is her role model, best friend, hero, and big sis all in one.
Dana and Leah’s parents, John Retkke and Kathy Retkke, are from the Windy City of Chicago.
John Rettke has worked as a fixture for five seasons at the University of Wisconsin. John recently went under surgery for the removal of a tumor that was cancerous.
Dana mentioned in a talk with Volleyball Magazine that her father recalls fondly watching Michael Jordan at the Chicago Stadium. Rettke parents are also very tall, like their daughters. In height comparison, Kathy is five feet eleven inches, and John is six feet eleven inches.
