Gabrielle is a British singer and songwriter who started styling her hair over it in recent years, although she was once known for wearing an eye patch. 

The singer suffers from ptosis, often known as blepharoptosis, and has had this condition since childhood and hides it with fashion items or hairstyles.

Does Gabrielle Have A Glass Eye?

Gabrielle does not have a glass eye, but fans have noted that she, who was born in Hackney, covers one of her eyes when she sings. 

This is due to a condition known as ptosis, which causes the eyelid to partially close, droop, or fall. However, there is no record of Gabrielle having a glass eye.

Gabrielle wore an eye patch in the 1990s, but she now wears a haircut that conceals the damaged eye.

Gabrielle hasn’t always had it easy, although she currently wears her characteristic appearance with confidence. She was bullied a lot in school.

Gabrielle Health Condition & Cure

Gabrielle has a health condition called of ptosis is when the top eyelid droops across the eye. The eyelid might droop just a bit or so much that it conceals the pupil, according to the American Academy of Ophthalmology. 

It can impair or completely obscure eyesight for certain people. Gabrielle’s eye is not thought to have been impacted in this way.

Ptosis is a condition that can affect both adults and children. Adults develop ptosis when the levator muscle (the muscle that lifts the eyelid) strains or separates from the eyelid owing to age. Ptosis in adults can be caused by an eye injury as well as age.

Adults with ptosis can have their condition corrected by surgery. Prescription eye drops may be effective for some individuals with ptosis, according to the AOO.

The medication in the eye drops, however, will not help people who have ptosis as a result of an eye injury.
