Drake London Parents As He Grew Up Stunning Sister Makayla London

The Atlanta Falcons wide receiver, London, has his family to thank for all his achievements. The 21-year-old was the no.8 pick in the 2022 draft and had his whole family at the table as they hugged right after the announcement.
As his dad Dwan recalls, Drake had always been a competitive kid. His mom, Cindi can testify to that fact. The promising career almost ended before draft day, but the Falcons believed in his skill and backed him.
Against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday night, the rookie set a new record as he became the player with the most catches in a season. London’s career is just beginning, and he is already setting records which only makes us think that we will continue to hear his name for years.
Meet Drake London Father
Drake London father Dwan London coached him during his formative footballing career.
Drake and his dad Dwan London would train using garbage cans and tennis balls to help improve the young prospect’s agility and ball skills. He had already seen the potential in his kid even before Drake could start to form words.
Dwan London was a former football player at Moorpark College.
The father-son duo would make their living room their training hub and play knee football.
The wide receiver was a passionate child, and he loved sports. Growing up, the footballer was a multi-sport athlete. If one year, he would be playing basketball, the following year, he would be seen charging the hurdles at high speed. He tried his feet in soccer but eventually returned to basketball and football.
Speaking to The Athletic in 2019, Dwan London claimed his son had a unique gene, and he is not entirely wrong. Standing at 6ft 5, Drake was a force to reckon with in his high school days and later in college.
Dwan never pressured his son to pick one sport, and he wanted Drake to do whatever he liked. Maybe it’s because the trust and confidence his dad showed in him helped the athlete to become a star.
Dwan would try to balance the role of a dad and a coach to keep his son motivated and keep up his competitive spirit. He would say to Drake that if he wanted receiver gloves, he would need to score three touchdowns.
Dwan and Cindi London were present when Atlanta Falcons drafted Drake. Speaking to the Pac-12 Networks in 2022, Drake brought his mother and father with him, and the two were beaming with pride.
When the interviewer asked Dwan about the kind of kid Drake was growing up, Dwan said he tried his best to downplay Drake and his skills, but his son kept proving him wrong and said his son could be picked in the first round of the NBA or NFL.
Drake London Mother Served The Flag
Drake’s mother Cindi London was previously in the army.
Cindi joined the service right after completing high school. Cindi shared the fact on her Facebook handle in 2018 as she updated a profile picture of her wearing the formal uniform with her friend.
So there is no doubt that Drake was probably a highly disciplined kid. Despite raising a star athlete in Drake, Cindi was never interested in football.
She tried her best to keep up with Detroit Lions as Drake was a huge fan of Calvin Johnson, other than she did not know anything about the sport.
On draft day, Cindi talked about how surreal the whole situation felt for the family and spoke about the nightmarish situation in October 2021. The wide receiver suffered an injury that almost ended his career.
Cindi was present at the game and said her heart sank after she saw that Drake was not getting up. The reports came back, and it was an ankle injury. Cindi said the family then tried to best to make Drake know that they were always there for him.
After the draft, the NFL players received a draft letter from their families, and the Atlanta Falcons arranged one for Drake. Cindi and Dwan appeared in front of the camera to discuss their son.
With emotions running high, Cindi, with a heavy voice, said how proud she is of Drake and what he has achieved in his career. Cindi made her way to Mercedes Bez-stadium and cheered her son. And last night, the proud mother was there when her son set the reception record for a rookie for the Falcons.
Drake London Siblings
Drake London has one sister Makayla who is five years older than him.
The football player and his sibling were raised in Moorpark, California, and share a strong bond. Makayla couldn’t contain her emotion when she appeared in a video talking about Drake for the NFL Draft letter.
She had kind words for the kid who grew up to become a compassionate man. She said the world needs more people like Drake and salutes his dedication and hard work that he kept on becoming a star football athlete.
Makayla considers her brother the funniest person in the world as the siblings would spend hours discussing what they wanted to be when they grew up. At the end of the video, Makayla says she couldn’t wait for them to live in their dream home next to each other.

The 26-year-old has a separate Instagram handle which is more casual and shares the things that she is currently interested in.
Makayla never fails to show her support for her brother on her social media pages and posted a sweet tribute for Drake on his 21st birthday. Makayla shared a gallery of images, including photos from their childhood until the present day.
She has done campaigns with the luxury brand Versace and did a photo shoot with the SavagexFenty in 2022. Makayla is undoubtedly going places and it won’t take long for the sibling duo to see their dream come true before them.
Coming from a mixed family background, Drake and Makayla are supporters of the “Black Lives Matter” movement, with Makayla sharing photos from the protests she had taken part in 2020.
Like her brother, Makayla is athletic and took part in Chicago Marathon in 2018. In 2019, she was part of Nike’s Legacy League and showed some of her soccer skills for the campaign.
Drake London does not have a girlfriend or rather he is private about his relationship.
A mystery girl was pictured with the London family in 2019 in the photo posted by Makayla. Still, the footballer has never addressed anything related to the girl on his social media pages.
