Brice Samba’s Head Injury

In the 2-1 win over Derby County in late January, Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Brice Samba suffered a horrific head injury.

After a clash with Derby captain Tom Lawrence in the first half of the Championship match at the City Ground, Samba was left with significant swelling on his head.

Fans on Twitter expressed their concern for Samba, who was treated on the pitch for several minutes. The ill-timed collision left a tennis-ball side welt on the side of his head. 

Shockingly, Samba was given the clear to continue playing and soon rejoined his teammates for the second half, with his head heavily bandaged.
