• 5 a.m.: Get up and go! Before the workday officially starts, I squeeze in a quick spin class. This class always has a lot of enthusiasm and gets my day started before it gets crazy.
• 6:15 a.m.: I arrive home and assist my two oldest children with getting ready for school. The proverb “the early bird gets the worm” must be repeated!
• 7:30 a.m.: I usually start my workday by reading over all the news and commentary that surfaced the previous night. I spend most of my time researching various OPEC oil producers and other nations that produce commodities using my trusted sources.
• 11 a.m.: I spent the morning writing research and making a day’s worth of notes; I’m now traveling to CNBC for a Power Lunch piece. I always use the time in driving there to review my talking points one more and smuggle in my own “power lunch.” Always moving!
• 12:30 p.m.: I just happened to run across Dominic Chu, a reporter for CNBC’s markets, on location! We take a picture of our coordinated color scheme before entering the set.
• Another excellent CNBC program at 1:30! It’s time to return to the workplace and continue with the workweek.
