Henry met with the accident in 2009 when he was having a great time with his friends on a beach in Portugal. He went into the water, believing that it was deep enough for him to dive forward, but it turned out that the sea bed had slightly risen directly in front of him.
He hit the ground head first and briefly lost consciousness. He expected to stand up, leave the water, and join his friends as he opened his eyes. Instead, he opened his eyes, immobile and floating in the sea.

He underwent procedures to straighten his displaced fourth vertebrae over three weeks in a Portuguese hospital. Then, before returning to the real world, he spent another five and a half months in the hospital.
His life completely changed after that incident. However, he believes that wasn’t the worst thing to happen as his life experiences after the fatal accident was much more exciting as he discovered his passion during that period.
