The former World No. 4 tennis player announced her retirement from the sport in December and shared the news on her social media accounts as well after fighting a chronic knee problem.
Konta, a three-time semifinalist at a Grand Slam, became the first British woman to go to Wimbledon’s final four since Virginia Wade in 1978.

Seven months after making their engagement public at a ceremony in London two weeks ago, Johanna Konta wed her longtime partner Jackson Wade.
The 30-year-old tennis pro looked ethereal outside a church while wearing a matching white bridal dress and cardigan by Max Mara.
