Ron is best known as the current general manager of the National Hockey League's Pittsburgh Penguins (NHL). Ron played for the Philadelphia Flyers, New York Islanders, and Quebec Nordiques for 13 seasons.
He won the Vezina Trophy in 1987 and largely played for the Flyers, earning him a spot in the Flyers' Hall of Fame. On February 9, 2021, the Penguins hired him as their general manager.
