Is Sarah Hunter England Rugby Deaf? Partner and Married Life

Rugby player Sarah Hunter's partner is Nathan Smith, a rugby coach. 

Since October 2020, Sarah's partner has worked as a Forwards and Breakdown Coach at Doncaster Knights. 

Prior to that, he was a lead BUCS Super Rugby and Forwards Performance Coach. Her partner was once an athlete in the National League before becoming an RFU Level 4 registered coach. However, those days seem a lifetime away.

In 2016, Nathan walked the stage to receive his BSc in Sports Science degree from the University of Leeds. In the six years since then, Sarah's partner has worked many jobs, from Camp Director to Sports Educator.

He was made First Team Assistant Coach in July 2017 at the Yorkshire Carnegie Rugby Union Club. He worked there for a little over a year.

He wasted no time switching to Lead BUCS Super Rugby and Forwards Performance Coach at Loughborough University full time.

Rugby player Sarah Hunter is not married. Though she has a partner in Nathan Smith, he is not her husband. 

At least, not yet, based on the lack of a wedding ring. They became Instagram official on July 3, 2022. 

She and her partner had gotten invited to the Royal Box Wimbledon for a Sporting Saturday. In her 164 posts, Nathan appears three times, all on the same post. The pictures are from their time at the Royal Box Wimbledon.

It may be a while before wedding pictures are posted up on her account under the handle, @sarah_hunter8. However, based on the fact that he is not available on social media and his pictures are rare to come by on the internet, he is a little shy.

Sarah Is A Proud Aunt And Loves Her Niece

Although Sarah and Nathan are not parents, she has a beautiful niece whom she treats as her child.

The rugby union player hangs out and spends a lot of time with the little one, who turned nine on the 1st of July 2022. She was born in 2013.

The 9-year-old is following in her aunt's footsteps as she also plays rugby. Hunter shared a few moments of her running around in the field with a ball on her Instagram @sarah_hunter8.

The little one attends her aunt's games with her parents, and watching Sarah play must have inspired and sparked her love for the sport. Having an athletic family has expanded her horizon toward rugby union.

Rugby player Sarah Hunter is not deaf and does not suffer from hearing loss.

However, another athlete, a softball player at Wayne State College by the same name, wears hearing aids and was diagnosed with hearing loss at five years old. Fans have mistaken the two athletes into thinking rugby player Sarah is deaf.

Sarah has been active as an athlete for over a decade and a half with good health and has made many remarkable achievements.

She is only 37. It will be a while before age becomes the reason she starts losing some of her hearing abilities. She has not suffered from any major injury that should cause her to lose some of her hearing power and wear hearing aids.
