Jailene Holton has been named by her family as the woman who was fatally shot in the head while having a good time with friends at a bar in Northeast Philadelphia.
When James Holton learned that his niece Jailene Holton had been shot and killed on Tuesday night at a pub in Northeast Philadelphia, his life was shattered.
The 21-year-old woman’s rare outing she rarely drank or went out, according to family—ended tragically at the Philly Bar & Restaurant.
Who Is Jailene Holton? – Philly Bar and Restaurant Shooting Victim
An angry customer who was booted out of the bar opened fire from hundreds of feet away, killing a young woman named Jailene Holton who was out with friends. This incident is just the latest instance of deadly gun violence in Philadelphia.
Just after 11:30 p.m., the other patron of the Northeast Philadelphia restaurant and bar Philly Bar shot at least 15 times, killing the 21-year-old lady. Philadelphia police reported on Tuesday.

Her father and other family members recognized her as Jailene Holton. She allegedly took part in a friend reunion when she was shot.
Her father, Jason Holton, told NBC10‘s Karen Hua that she was just a wonderful kid who was trying to get her life together and find herself. It’s really awful.
Philly Bar And Shooting Incident And Video
According to the authorities, 8th District officers found Holton suffering from a gunshot wound to the head after they reacted to numerous complaints of a shooting.
Three guys were asked to leave the Welsh Road establishment of the Philly Bar & Restaurant at 11:30 p.m. for causing a disturbance. Two of the men departed without incident, but one had to be dragged away.
After being expelled, the individual moved 200 feet away to a pickup truck and fired at least 15 shots into the front of the bar. One of the bullets, one of the five that passed through the window, hit a woman, age 21, in the head.

Jailene Holton Go Fund Me After Her Death
Jailene Holton’s family was startled by the tragedy and devastated to have to pay for the funeral, so a Go Fund Me campaign was created to cover the costs.
Our Jailene was a helpless witness caught up in yet another terrible act of violence in the city on June 28. Jailene was a young, intelligent, and attractive lady who had her entire life ahead of her.

Jailene’s father, sister, and the rest of the family are now the ones left to mourn her tragically abrupt passing. Never is a parent completely ready to lose their child. Any contribution would be greatly welcomed to help Jason with some of Jailene’s funeral costs.
