Jake Haener mother Julie Haener is a news anchor at KTVU network. Julie Haener graduated from the University of Washington.

Jake walked in his mom's footsteps and went to study in Washington. He spent two years as a Husky, completed nine of 13 passes for 107 yards, and had one touchdown and interception, respectively.

His parents, Ryan and Julie Haener, met at Bulldog Stadium and tied the knot in 1995. However, Julie already had a boyfriend, but they eventually ended up together.

Ryan and Julie celebrated their 27th anniversary on the 12th of March, 2022. After four years of tying the knot, the Haener couple welcomed their son Jake on the 16th of March, 1999. Soon after, they gave birth to their youngest son Kyle Haener.

Julie has three decades of experience in her expertise and began her career at KNDO-TV in Yakima, Washington. There she worked as a general assignment reporter, photographer, editor, producer, and anchor.

Later Jake's mom landed a job as the weeknight news anchor at KJEO-TV in Fresno, California, from 1992 to 1995. After handing in her resignation, Julie joined KIRO-TV in Seattle and served as a morning News Anchor and reporter for three years from 1995 to 1997.

The year 1997 saw her joining KTVU in the Bay Area. Over the past 25 years, Haener has covered many incidents, and when she isn't working, she spends quality time with her family.

Julie Haener graduated from the University of Washington.

Jake redshirted his first year at Washington in 2017 and appeared in four games as Jake Browning's backup in 2018. However, he transferred to California State University, Fresno, in 2019.

His mom, Julie, studied at Washington from 1985 to 1989 and received her degree in Broadcast Journalism. Before that, she attended Bellarmine High School in Tacoma, Washington State.

However, his parents did not meet at the University of Washington. Jake's father, Ryan Haener, went to California, Santa Barbara, got his degree there, and then returned to Fresno.

Unlike her son, Julie didn't pursue an athletic career. The news anchor loves the scenic beauty of the Bay Area and enjoys spending time by the water and the mountains.

Jake Parents Met At A Bulldog Football Game

Jake Haener parents Ryan and Julie Haener met while watching a football game at Bulldog Stadium and have been together ever since.

As per Jake, Ryan and Julie had mutual friends, and his dad first saw his mom at the bulldogs game. The elder Haener wanted to talk to his future wife, but his friends said he didn't have a chance.

His father sent flowers to his mother and complimented her smile, and they being talking since then. Julie was not single and had a boyfriend at Washington. But the long distance was hard and they ended up splitting. Ryan and Julie ended up gravitating toward each other. They have since welcomed two sons, Jake and Kyle Haener, who are all grown up and have made them proud.
