Jesse Lee Soffer Leaves Chicago PD, Heart Surgery Plot And 10 Years Of Show

Sad news for Chicago PD fans as the long-time show actor Jesse Lee Soffer confirmed his exit from the long-running NBC crime drama series.

On August 30, the 38-year-old actor Soffer announced on Twitter that he was leaving Chicago PD and that the forthcoming tenth season of the iconic NBC series would be his last.

He retweeted a Variety post about his departure from the show saying, “This is sad but true. Just want all the fans to know how grateful I am…Love you all ❤️” A day before, on August 29, Soffer spoke with Variety, where he first revealed his intention of leaving Chicago PD.

Did Jesse Lee Soffer Have A Heart Surgery? Is He Sick?

No, Jesse Lee Soffer did not have heart surgery. He has not been seriously ill, either. The American actor has good health and an incredible body.

Some of his fans also expressed their concern over his sudden departure from the NBC series Chicago PD. However, he did not mention the health part while announcing his exit. So, he must have a healthy life.

Besides, in the show, Jesse Lee Soffer portrays a character named Jay Halstead, a detective and a member of the CPD Intelligence Unit. His father, Pat Halstead, was not feeling well and had heart issues.

When he went to the hospital, Dr. Connor examined his condition and concluded Pat required heart surgery. But Connor also mentioned the non-surgical alternative to Pat. Will argued that it wasn’t long-lasting, but Pat ignored him and insisted that he already knew what he wanted.

After all the denial, pat finally agreed to have heart surgery. Will and Jay waited outside while the surgery was being done. Jay, who insisted everything would be alright, was less concerned than Will. After that, Will attempted to tell his father why he should watch what he ate, but his father cut him off by holding him.
