Jonathan Huberdeau Blessure, Upper-Body Injury Report

Jonathan Huberdeau’s blessure is worse than anticipated as he awaits his return to the game. He has been struggling with a lot of injuries.

Huberdeau, a winger with the Calgary Flames ice hockey team, has had a string of injuries in recent years and has had very little time to recover from them. Consequently, he continues to sustain injuries, which has kept him out for several consecutive days.

The 29-year-old athlete suffered a blessure blow in an NHL game against the New York Islanders on Tuesday, November 8, and Huberdeau was not included on the game roster to play against the Devils the day after.

Initial reports by Wes Gilbertson of the Calgary Sun stated that Huberdeau would miss the November 9 game against The New Jersey Devils due to a minor foot injury and had a good chance of returning to the next round.

However, he also didn’t play in the team’s subsequent two games, Friday’s matchup with the Boston Bruins and Sunday’s contest against the Winnipeg Jets. And, likely, Huberdeau won’t be able to play in Monday’s game against the Los Angeles Kings, but he is expected to be back by then.

Flames Expect Jonathan Huberdeau To Return Monday, Upper-body Still Sore

According to reports, Jonathan Huberdeau is expected to return to a game on Monday, but his upper body is yet to recover fully.

He has been sidelined for three games in a row following a knock on his left foot he suffered on November 8 against the Islanders. On November 12, when the Jets came to town, Huberdeau sat out for the third consecutive game.

It was reported earlier this week by Calgary Sun that the Flames forward was seen wearing a walking cast. However, initially, they said the injury was in his upper body tissue.

Huberdeau is fortunate not to have yet been a victim of long-term injury, which kept him sidelined for an extended period. The longest time he was sidelined due to an injury was in May 2015. Then, he missed 2-4 weeks because of a spleen injury.

Regardless, Huberdeau didn’t skate on Sunday against the Jets. However, the Flames are optimistic that their left winger will return on Monday when they take on the Los Angeles Kings and hope he will help the team to end the miserable run of seven defeats in a row.

And it is not that the Calgary Flames only tasted defeat after Huberdeau was left out of the squad because of the upper body injury, Flames last win was on October 26 against the Penguins.
