In the 2013 WHL Bantam draft, Kailer was grabbed by Spokane Chiefs, but the case wasn’t the same for his brother Keanu as he took a different path to be there.

Keanu was an undrafted player who got a direct invite from Spokane Chief. He said he was not planning or decided to join the Chiefs. But when Kailer got drafted and invited to the camp of the Chiefs, they found that there were some extra spots for players on camp. He joined that camp.
