Kirra Dibb Dating Life and Partner: Is Rugby Star Married?

Kirra Dibb keeps her dating life as lowkey as possible, and very few people are aware of her partner Megan. 

She has uploaded a few pictures with Megan Maree on her Instagram, penning her “the best.” The pair also shared “love you” in the comment section of her Instagram post, which clearly depicts their love for one another. 

But the rugby league star and her rumored partner have not publicly made it clear that they are in a relationship and, in fact, dating. The two seem to have known each other for quite a long time. 

Dibb uploaded pictures with Maree in October 2018 on her Instagram. They went on a hike to the Zion National Park in Utah, as she wrote in her caption, “Angels Landing ~ 8.7km and 1500ft elevation gain for one of the most unforgettable views I’ve ever seen.”

It is also possible that Megan could be her childhood friend or a high school classmate since they share a genuine bond and chemistry. Maybe they are taking things slowly. Besides, Dibb has not spoken about her relationship in general, and she apparently wants to keep it a secret. Moreover, nothing about Megan has come to the surface, either. There is no intel regarding her life and interests.

Rugby Star Kirra Dibb Is Not Married

The Newcastle Knights’ five-eighth, Kirra Dibb, has not yet married. Born in North Gosford, the Australian aborigine who turned 25 this summer is still young and has a long way before she walks down the aisle.

For the time being, Dibb is more focused and driven toward her rugby career. She began her professional career in 2019 from Sydney Roosters in the NRL Women’s Premiership, and it has only been two and a half years, so she has a lot to achieve, and that is what she will do. The marriage thing can wait but not her career moments.

Kirra Dibb’s net worth is on the rise, just like her popularity. She is expected to have made $1 million as of 2022.

It has been just three years since the 25-year-old rugby player started playing as a professional, and she has already played in some big clubs in both the Australian rugby football league and New South Wales league. Besides, the athlete has partnered with Adidas in a lucrative sponsorship deal.

NRLW Salary Debate, Far Less Pay Compared To Men

Women’s pay in rugby leagues has been a matter of debate for a long time. They are paid far less than their male counterparts. 

According to the stats published by Danielle Warby, the minimum salary for NRLW league players is $8,500 a year and $39,184 in the Aussie rules football. Ruby is by far the less paid sport in Australia, whereas football league players earn the most in the country. 

But 2022 saw changes in the salary department for female rugby league players. The Ampol Women’s State of Origin introduced the adoption of a pay-hard salary cap, which would raise annual wages by 28%. The Australian Rugby League Council has authorized it.

NRLW teams will switch to a salary cap structure for the 2022 season, with a maximum of $350,000 per side. Additionally, clubs will be allowed to hire up to two-star players comprehensively with further salary cap clearance.

From th next year onward, the top female athlete in the game will probably make around $60,000, with those on flagship partnerships being paid more. Origin payments are also expected to climb this year from $4,000 to $6,000.

Kirra Dibb was born on July 23, 1997, to an Indigenous Australian-origin family in North Gosford, New South Wales.

Her parents supported and nourished her to be a fierce woman since she was young. Although Dibb started playing rugby in her childhood, she had to stop playing when she was ten, as no competitive rugby tournaments for girls were available during that time. 

But she never gave up, and her parents were always for her when needed. They bred her on the Central Coast and later sent Dibb Erina to Berkeley Vale, where she honed her playing skills to be one of the formidable players coming to 2022.

Speaking at the press conference before the NRLW game against the St George Illawarra Dragons, she returned to her hometown and said, “It is a home game for me, but I’ve never played at Central Coast Stadium before.”

Dibb also expressed her happiness about returning to where she grew up and was pumped to meet her friends and family, “I know school friends and old teachers that are coming along. My parents still live down there as well.”

Moreover, she recalls the special gift her father gave her when she was a baby girl. It was a Sydney Rooster jersey. Both her parents have supported her since day one, all the way from her early age to the present day.
