Mackenzie McDonald Parents Michael McDonald And Vivianesque Young Were Raised In California

Mackenzie McDonald was born to his parents Michael McDonald and Vivianesque Young. Michael has two children with Vivian.

Mackenzie got into tennis with his father’s influence. Michael was a tennis player during high school and groomed his son to be a professional player since he was three. His mom is an artist and photographer, and his sister is a former gymnast. 

McDonald trained under Wayne Ferreira during his junior career and won the men’s singles in the Ojai Tennis Tournament in 2013. He spent his collegiate career at UCLA and turned professional in 2016 following his 2016 NCAA Division I Tennis Championships win in both single and double. 

Since turning professional, the athlete has won several single and double matches in Australian Open, Grand Slam, US Open, and Wimbledon. He also received the Oracle US Tennis Awards in 2017 with Danielle Collins.

Mackenzie McDonald parents Michael McDonald and Vivianesque Young are Americans with different ancestry.

Michael is of Scottish and English heritage, and Vivianesque was born in a Chinese household. Thus, their son has a mix ethnic background.

Young gave birth to Mackenzie in Piedmont in 1995 and raised the athlete in California. The professional tennis player turned 27 on the 16th of April, 2022. He grew up in the United States bay area. Furthermore, he holds an American nationality.

The athlete started his journey in Alameda at the Harbor Bay Club and began training with Wayne Ferreira at 11 throughout his junior career. Later he spent his collegiate career at UCLA and turned pro in 2016. 

Michael is a proud dad and is active on Instagram under the handle @macbruin82. He marks his birthday on the 24th of November every year. During his birthday in 2019, his hometown friends visited him in Caja Mágica, Madrid, during the 2019 Davis Cup. 

Mackenzie Mother Vivian Is A Photographer

Vivianesque Young is an artist and photographer. She has also been the owner of Westside Joe’s Bikes since 2020.

Mackenzie’s mother was born and raised on the island of Alameda, per her Instagram bio. Her birthday falls on the 13th of July every year.

The photographer attended Will C. Wood Middle School and Encinal High School. Per her Facebook bio, she studied Conservation & Resource Studies – Public Health at the University of California, Berkeley.

Vivian also attended UCSF School of Dentistry to study Registered Dental Hygienist and enrolled at Universidad Academia de Arte to earn her Master’s in Art Education.

Mackenzie Mcdonald Grew Up In A Family Of Four

Mackenzie was born into a family of four in Califonia as the youngest of two kids. 

Mcdonald has an older sister named Dana Jones, born Dana Christie Lowe McDonald in 1992 in Palm Springs, California. She turned 30 on the 27th of December, 2022.

Dana was also a student-athlete who spent her collegiate career as a 5 feet and 3 inches tall gymnast at UCLA. Jones spent three years (2012 to 2014) with the UCLA Bruins women’s gymnastics team and graduated in 2014.

She trained under coach Darrell Boykins and was a 2007 Junior Olympic National Team member. The former gymnast won the NorCal Level 10 State beam title in 2009, the vault and floor titles, and landed a third position in the all-around at the 2009 Level 10 NIT.
