Maestro Yek, 45, was an actor and musician in the urban music genre. His most significant performance came in the 2008 film Talento de Barrio, playing the part of "Jayko."

The urban music outlet iPauta confirmed this in a post on its website. They also cautioned that he passed only a short time after being carried to the emergency room of a medical facility in Miami, Florida, in the United States.

Angel Rodriguez, also known as "Maestro Yek," was born in Puerto Rico in 1977 and is most recognized for his work as a renowned Spanish/English rapper, actor, and award-winning producer.
