Michael Wilbon Wife Sheryl Wilbon Is A Former Attorney From DC

Michael Wilbon wife Sheryl Wilbon has a law degree from Duke University in North Carolina.

Michael and his partner Sheryl dated for seven years before they tied the knot on April 9, 1997, after years of being in a relationship.

Wilbon shares one child with the love of his life.

Sheryl used to work as an American attorney. She majored in Foreign Affairs at the University of Virginia.

Michael shared a story on his Instagram where he mentioned that he met Sheryl's father 11 years before he dated his daughter. In 1995, when it was time for him to meet Sheryl's parents at a family dinner, he found out that the man he had met 11 years back was his would-be father-in-law. 

Michael Wilbon Child Was Born Via a Surrogate

Michael Wilbon son Matthew Raymond Wilbon was born via surrogacy in 2008. Matthew is 14 years old at the time of writing.

He and his spouse live in Bethesda, Maryland, with their only child.

When Sheryl was pregnant, she faced some complications and was recommended by the doctor to get a surrogate. After they followed the doctor’s instructions, their baby boy Matthew Raymond Wilbon was born on March 26, 2008.

Michael posts a lot about his son, who is also interested in sports. On January 27, 2020, Wilbon posted a picture of Matthew with the late basketball player Kobe Bryant. 

Michael Wilbon was born to parents Raymond Wilbon and Cleo Wilbon in November 1958 in Chicago. Wilbon is a family man.

Michael's father, Raymond Wilbon, served in the Army in Germany. Wilbon couldn't spend much time with his father, who passed away when he was only 27. He and his brother Don Wilbon had their mother, Cleo, as their inspiration, trying to make a career in their respective fields.

In 2017, the Wilbon family had a tour of the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture, and they did this as it was on the bucket list of his mom Cleo. His mom passed away in 2019.

On Father's Day in 2021, he posted a picture with his child and other members and mentioned that Father's Day means all the memories he has shared with his children, goddaughter, and nephew.
