His father has his dedicated Wikipedia page. According to Wikipedia, Kibaki was a member of the opposition in the Kenyan Parliament from 1992 to 2002. 

In 1992 & 1997, he ran for president but lost both times. From 1998 until 2002, he was the "Leader of the Official Opposition" in Parliament. He was elected President of Kenya in the presidential election of 2002.

Tony Kibaki was born to Lucy and Mwai Kibaki and he has four siblings: Winnie Wangui Mwai (Alleged child of Mwai Kibaki & Mary Wambui), Jimmy, David, and June Kibaki. Lucy Muthoni Kibaki, the family's mother, died in 2016 after a long illness.
