Nazanin Boniadi’s Faith In Scientology As Her Prospective On Religion Is Unlike Others

Nazanin Boniadi is a 42 years old British actress and activist born in Tehran, Iran, on the 22nd of May 1980, in the aftermath of the Iranian Revolution.

Boniadi is known for portraying the role of Nora in How I Met Your Mother, Fara Sherazi in Homeland, Esther in Ben-Hur, Clare Quayle in Counterpart, and Zahra Kashani in Hotel Mumbai, among others.

Likewise, the actress served as an Amnesty International spokesperson from 2009 to 2015 and a board member from October 2015 to February 2021 for the Center for Human Rights in Iran.

Nazanin Boniadi was a dedicated Scientologist in the mid-2000s, and her mom had also been a Scientologist.

Defined as a cult, a business, or a new religious movement, about 25,000 followers in the US (in 2008), 2,300 followers in England (2011), and 1,700 in Canada (2011) and Australia (2016) followed the practice.

However, the Church of Scientology would place her in special projects, vetting her as a potential wife for Tom Cruise with dozens of other women; she briefly dated the actor. Later she left the Church and called herself a non-practicing Muslim in October 2014.

Boniadi is not married but dated the American actor and producer Tom Cruise. As a loyal Scientologist, she got groomed to be a potential wife for Cruise, so they dated in 2006 under the Church’s supervision.

At that time, she gave up on her long-time boyfriend, colored her hair black, and removed her dental braces. The relationship between the actors didn’t last long, and they didn’t tie the knot as the Church wished.

The actress studied at an independent school in Hampstead and attended the University of California, where she earned a bachelor’s degree with honors in biological sciences.
