The brutal incident occurred on 2 October 2002, near Olga’s apartment in Nizhni Novgorod, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Russia. On that day, she went outside of her home for the first time.
Olga’s mother insisted to let her go out, but the 10-year-old told her mother that she was big enough to go outside on her own. Soon after, the murderer looted and murdered her.
The family buried her body in 2002, and in 2012, the police dug up her grave, but they didn’t find any remains of her body. Her coffin was empty with a hole at the top.

Anatoly Moskivin, a 47-year-old man, murdered Olga and stole her remains which he used to make dolls. He robbed graveyards and kept dozens of corpses of young girls in his bedroom in the flat where he lived with his mother and father.
Then, he used to dress the dead children in stockings, girls’ clothing, and knee-length boots to make them look like dolls. Olga was one of his victims.
Moskivin got arrested in 2011, and police found out that he had already victimized 29 other girls along with Olga. After his arrest, it was known that he was mentally ill, and was raped as a child.
Currently, the 47-year-old is at the mental clinic, and it seems that he will spend the rest of his life there.
