Pete Golding Wife Carolyn Golding Is A College Professor

Pete Golding wife Carolyn Golding is an educator at the University of Southern Mississippi. Pete shares three kids with Carolyn.

Pete wasn’t unfamiliar with educators. His mother, Tena, has been in the profession for the past four decades, and his sister, Shelly, even taught him in his junior year.

So, Carolyn had people in the Golding family with whom she shared common interests. The better half of Pete Golding also shared a workplace with her husband in 2014 when he became part of the Southern Mississippi family.

Carolyn, who would frequent Bryant-Denny Stadium in her crimson colors, will now be switching her allegiance to Ole Miss rebels after Pete was confirmed as their defensive coordinator on January 15. With his move to Ole Miss, Pete will be expecting a rise in salary, which was previously $1.6 million in Alabama.

At one point in 2014, the couple shared their workplace as Pete joined Southern Mississippi’s football team as their defensive coordinator. Carolyn is also part of the cosmetics company, Beautycounter.

Though her role in the cosmetic company remains unclear, Pete Golding’s partner has been seen sharing several videos from them on her Twitter handle and her Facebook handle in the past.

Pete and Carolyn are parents to three kids, two boys and a girl, whose pictures she has shared on her social media pages. The couple welcomed their first child, Braxton, in 2014, and two years later, Braxton got a little brother in Bentley.

The two brothers have been attending football games with their mother, who has shared pictures of the three cheering for the Alabama football team from the stands. The two boys are sweet brothers to their sister, Bailey, who is a daddy’s girl, having been pictured with her dad enjoying boat rides.

Pete Golding Family

Pete Golding comes from a family with a background in football and teaching.

Born to parents Tena and Skip Golding in 1984, Pete grew up alongside his sister Shelly in Louisiana. Skip Golding is a passionate football fan and a high school coach at Varnado High School in Angie, Louisiana.

Skip met his partner and Pete’s mother, Tena, at Delta State, and the two moved to Hammond in 1982. Tena began her educational journey as a maths professor and slowly climbed the ranks to become the no.2 at Southeastern Louisiana.

Most of Pete’s coaching genes come from his mom, who wouldn’t have been able to reach such a position if it weren’t for her disciplined and career-driven nature. Like a mama’s boy, Pete makes sure to call his mom once a week sharply at 11:15 pm.

His sister, Shelly Gaydos, is a principal at Hammond High and taught her brother algebra during his junior year and uses the coach’s real first name Stephen all the time.

In 2021, Skip called “The Paul Finebaum Show” to ask for advice from the hosts as he was torn apart on whether he should support Pete’s football team, Alabama, or his favorite team, Miami Hurricanes.

In the end, Skip decided he would support his son’s team and would pack Alabama paraphernalia in his suitcase. In the interview, he also added that his son had been level-headed about his job as the defensive coordinator of Alabama.

After the coach married Carolyn in 2011, another educator was added to the Golding family. The couple is now parents to three kids, including two boys, Braxton and Bentley, and a girl, Bailey.
