Who Is Rex Sunahara?
Rex Sunahara is a 25-year-old free agent long snapper who was born on October 9, 1996. The 6'6" Ohio native, who weighs 242 pounds, was a West Virginia University athlete.
Rex was born in the Ohio town of Bay Village and played long snapper for the University of Rhode Island in eight games as a freshman.
At New Hampshire, he made one special team tackle. Sunahara also had two special teams tackles against Richmond and one special team tackle against Maine.
He made his collegiate debut as a long snapper in the season opener against Syracuse (9/4). Walter Rekstis, his great-grandfather, was a three-time letter winner at Syracuse from 1935 to 1937.
