Ric Flair Was Stolen At Birth By Georgia Tann
Ric Flair was stolen at birth by Georgia Tann from his home in Tennessee. Georgia told his parents he was stillborn.
Tann made money for herself while giving Flair up for adoption on the illicit market.
A mysterious beginning precedes the NWA champion. Flair was kidnapped and bought to the Tennessee Children's Home Society, where Tann held 5,000 children as a ransom for her financial development.
Ric was raised in an orphanage without ever learning the reason why. His mother believed he was at the orphanage because he was stillborn.
The Tennessee Children's Society staff lured his mother into signing adoption papers claiming it was a procedure after a baby passed. His father and mother were likely uneducated and poor based on the circumstance.

Richard Reid Fliehr and Kathleen Kinsmiller adopted him after he was taken to the orphanage for adoption. Although the parents who adopted him are no longer living, they took him in because Kathleen could not conceive after giving birth to a daughter who passed away suddenly.
In Detroit, Michigan, where his adoptive mother worked for the Star Tribune, Ric's adoptive father was wrapping up a residency in obstetrics and gynecology.
Being adopted prevented Ric from ever having the opportunity to meet his biological parents.

Following the relocation of his adoptive parents, Ric spent his formative years in Edina, Minnesota. When he was in the ninth grade, Fliehr started training to be a wrestler.
Although it wasn't the start of his career, he played football, track, and wrestling as a school participant. After earning his degree from the University of Minnesota, Ric started working out with Verne Gagne as an amateur wrestler.
