The “Should’ve Been a Cowboy” hitmaker said in a statement that she had had surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy over the previous six months.”

“It’s been good thus far. I need some time to relax, rest, and breathe. This time with my family is something I am looking forward to. But I’ll definitely run into the fans shortly. I can not wait.”

In accordance with the information provided by the American Cancer Society, chemotherapy is used as a kind of treatment for stomach cancer in cycles, “with each session of treatment followed by a rest period to allow the body time to recuperate.”
