Who Is Ann Sudmalis On “The Drum” Panel? Everything We Know About

Former Australian politician Ann Sudmalis served in the Australian House of Representatives as a Liberal. The former politician is presently on the panel of “The Drum”.

During Ann’s tenure as a local member, the number of Liberal party groups in the Gilmore electorate has plummeted.

Due to her growing unpopularity, a preselection challenge was contemplated again ahead of the next Australian Federal election. However, PM Malcolm Turnbull, Treasurer Scott Morrison, and some other top Liberal Party members intervened personally to ensure Sudmalis was pre-selected for the next election.

Sudmalis hailed the Australian Fair Work Commission’s decision to decrease penalty rates for hospitality, retail, fast-food, and pharmacy employees as a “gift” to young people, triggering a continuous onslaught from the Opposition during question time.

Despite this, she declared on September 17, 2018, that she would not run in the upcoming election, blaming it on what she called ego-driven intimidation, treachery, and betrayals by Gareth Ward, a Liberal state parliamentarian from an area that overlaps hers.
