His grandfather Bill Rogers was also an athlete, having played baseball for Ole Miss during his youthful days. Likewise, the offensive coordinator also played ball with Archie Manning at Ole Miss. Will Rogers III Is Unrelated To Actor Will Rogers

The American quarterback Will Rogers and the late actor Will Rogers are unrelated. Although the personalities share the same name and nationality, they don't belong to the same family or bloodline.

Born on the 4th of November 1879 in Oologah, Oklahoma, United States, the actor was renowned for his humorous social commentary. He was Oklahoma's Favorite Son, who traveled three times around the world, made 71 films, and wrote over 4,000 nationally syndicated newspaper columns.

However, the footballer has never claimed to have any connection with the vaudeville performer who passed away in 1935 at age 55 in an airplane crash. He left behind his family and children, Will Rogers Jr., Mary Amelia, and James Blake. Thus, the Mississippi State Bulldogs quarterback's father, Wyatt Rogers, was not born to the late actor.
