Coach Willie Taggart And His Wife Taneshia Taggart Are Married For Two Decades

Willie Taggart met his wife Taneshia Taggart at Western Kentucky University where they studied together.

The coach was a student-athlete who played for Hilltoppers from 1995 to 1998, and he first saw his future wife while he was a junior and she was a freshman. They had their first encounter in the student union.

Willie was close with Taneshia’s roommate’s brother, as he was also into sports, and they played for the same football team. The former athlete made his move during their first meet, and she complimented him for having cute dimples (she said it to her roommate, who passed the message to Taggart).

Willie Taggart and Taneshia Taggart tied the knot in 1999 when the coach was a young adult pursuing his career.

Willie and Taneshia have been together since their college years and have never given up on each other in difficult times. They have passed good and bad times together and will forever do the same.

Furthermore, the couple marks their wedding anniversary on the 5th of June every year. They went on a trip to celebrate their 23rd anniversary in June 2022 and shared a few glimpses from their plane ride on Instagram.

They booked their ride from the private jet charter company Wheels Up and had a great time making memories. Moreover, Taggart never misses wishing his wife on their special day through social media posts; he goes by the handle @realcoachtaggart.

Willie Taggart has welcomed three children, two sons & a daughter, with his wife, Taneshia Taggart.

The couple has blessed Willie Taggart Jr., Jackson Taggart, and Morgan Taggart with their precious lives and has nurtured them with unconditional love and care. Furthermore, Willie has passed down his love of sports to his sons, who have pursued athletic careers.

The siblings have been on a football field ever since they could walk, as their dad is a football coach, and they began playing the sport at age five. They grew up falling in love with football and developed a passion for the game. Furthermore, the father-son trio would sit down and watch football films, point out mistakes players make in games, and learn from them. 

Willie Taggart Jr. Plays Football At Florida Atlantic University

Willie Taggart Jr. is a 21 years old athlete who plays as a quarterback for the Florida Atlantic Owls football program.

The son of a former footballer turned coach born on the 28th of November 2001, spent his high school career at Florida State University, and threw 2,165 yards and 20 touchdowns as a senior.

Willie began playing for the Owls in 2020 and recorded his first collegiate reception at FIU in the Owls’ Shula Bowl XIX win (38-19). Moreover, he stands 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 177 lbs.

Jackson Taggart Plays Basketball And Football

Willie’s second son Jackson Taggart was born in 2006, and he turned 16 on the 13th of September, 2022.

The 16-year-old high school athlete plays both buys varsity football and basketball at American Heritage High School. Furthermore, the 6 feet and 5 inches tall tight end weighing 225 lbs will graduate in 2025.

Moreover, JT received his first offer from Eastern Kentucky University in January 2021. Since then, the athlete has received more proposals from Florida A&M University, the University of Miami, and more. Likewise, he has gotten invited to visit many football camps. 

Morgan Taggart Is Daddy’s Girl

Willie’s daughter Morgan Taggart is his youngest child, born in 2015, and she is seven years old.

Morgan is her daddy’s princess, and she receives wholehearted love from the Taggart family as she blossoms into a beautiful girl living a carefree life as she is still young. 

Furthermore, the coach loves pampering his baby girl, and he has shared many adorable pictures of her on his social networking sites. The elder Taggart has also shared their moments from Magic Kingdom Park and the 7-year-old dressed as a gorgeous mermaid.
