Aaron Ross was born in San Antonio, Texas, on September 15, 1982. The New York Giants selected cornerback Aaron Ross in the 2007 NFL Draft. He contributed to the Giants’ XLII and XLVI championships.

Ross spent his teenage years playing for John Tyler High School in Texas after being born in Hartford, Wisconsin. He earned letters in track and field, basketball, and stellar football skills. He enrolled at the University of Texas after finishing high school.

Aaron Ross, one of just two players in UT history to win the Thorpe Award as the most outstanding defensive back in the country, was named to the first team of All-America in 2006.

Ross was chosen by the New York Giants with the 20th overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft following his collegiate career. After formerly attending Fox Tech High School in San Antonio, Ross graduated from John Tyler High School in Tyler, Texas, as an all-state selection.

He made 52 starts in 83 games for his career, including 24 in the Giants’ Super Bowl campaigns (15, 2011/9, 2007), during which he also recorded seven of his 11 career interceptions (4, 2011/3, 2007).

Ross was a unanimous first-team All-Big 12 performance and the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year as a senior in 2006. His 80 tackles, third-most on the team, combined with his six interceptions, 19 PBU (tied for seventh on UT’s single-season list), three TFLs, one sack, three forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries helped him start all 13 games.

Aaron also had 23 punt returns for 240 yards and a touchdown. He secured a victory over Oklahoma that year with two interceptions and a fumble recovery for a touchdown. At Nebraska, late in the game, he caused a turnover that led to the winning score. 

Additionally, the former football player set the Texas single-game record for PBUs with six played against Iowa State. In the Longhorns’ 26-24 Alamo Bowl victory over Iowa, he pulled down a crucial interception to end the season, earning Defensive MVP honors.

Archie and Sharon Richards welcomed Sanya into the world on February 26, 1985, in Kingston, Jamaica. She started running when she was seven and competed for Vaz Prep in youth competitions.

Her family moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, when she was twelve years old to attend an American high school and improve her prospects of receiving an athletic scholarship to an American institution.

Richards-Ross graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in 2022 with a total GPA of 4.0. She was named the USA Track and Field Youth Athlete of the Year and the 2002 Gatorade National High School Girls Track and Field Athlete of the Year.

Sanya won nine individual state championships at Aquinas, including four 100-meter crowns, three 200-meter crowns, three 200-meter crowns, one 400-meter crown, and one long jump crown.
