Andrew Gillum Wife R Jai Gillum As Politician Arrested On Wire Fraud Charges

Gillum married Rashada Jai Howard, now referred to as Rashada Jai Howard. The couple married on May 24, 2009. Rashada is another FAMU alumna and they are parents to three kids.

Born on July 26, 1979, Andrew is 42 years old, and his wife, R Jai Gillum was born in 1978, making her 43 years old. 

Reportedly, Andrew has a net worth of $500K, stating himself as a non-millionaire democratic member, while his wife's net worth is not revealed.

R Jai is the director of Foundation Affairs at the Florida Dental Association and has also co-hosted the show Bring It Home on Real Talk with his husband, Andrew Gillum.

According to recent press reports, Andrew Gillum and his longtime partner Sharon Janet Lettman-Hicks were both charged with making "false and fraudulent promises." The political duo has been arraigned on wire fraud charges that relate to the money they had received from 2016 to 2019.

The US attorney for the Northern District of Florida further adds that the funds were misappropriated, first going to a Lettman-Hicks-owned business, before being transferred to Gillum for personal use.

Nevertheless, the former mayor has declared his innocence and indicated that the charges pressed against him is political.

Born in Miami, and raised in Gainesville, Florida, Andrew is the father of three children. With his wife Rashida, Andrew has two twins, Caroline and Jackson, and a third child, Davis Allen Gillum. The family lives in Florida, America.

On September 14, 2020, Gillum came out as bisexual which he disclosed in an interview with Tamron Hall. After this news, his wife, Rashida also gave a statement that she is thinking about their relationship. However, no news of separation has been heard, yet.

In 1998, he was honored as "person of the year" for his city. He was given this title by The Gainesville Sun after he graduated from Gainesville High School in 1998.

Gillum has studied political science at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU). At the university, he further served as the first student trustee and president of the FAMU Student Government Association.

The man was named "a rising leader" by the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation in 2003.
