Bill O’Brien And Wife Colleen O’Brien Are Parents To Two Kids
Bill OBrien met his wife Colleen OBrien through his friend Doug Marrone in 1996. Bill lives with his partner Colleen in Alabama.
The couple, who met in Atlanta more than two decades ago, has pursued their careers in different fields. Mrs. OBrien was passionate about becoming an athletic executive, while her husband is one of the best college football coaches.
Bill, an American football coach from Dorchester, Massachusetts, is the University of Alabama’s current offensive coordinator. O’Brien managed the Houston Texans of the National Football League between 2014 and 2020. Moreover, he served as the head coach at Pennsylvania State University.
The 53-year-old was also the Texans’ general manager in 2020. The Dorchester native started his career as a coach at Brown University in 1993, and he later spent more than ten years working with teams in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
He joined the New England Patriots in 2007, serving as their offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. He will complete three decades in coaching after this season.

Bill OBrien wife Colleen Obrien is a Wake Forest University graduate in law. Colleen wanted to become a college athletic director.
They met for the first time 26 years ago, in 1996. Bill used to coach Georgia Tech football as an assistant coach, while his soon-to-be partner Colleen was in Atlanta to enjoy the weekend with her friends when they crossed paths. The pair met at a sports bar in Atlanta.
Bill’s friend, tight ends coach Doug Marrone, invited Colleen as his guest. Marrone was dating Helen Donnelly, Colleen’s roommate in college.
The 53-year-old coach, celebrating his team’s win at the time, claims it was love at first sight. The football coach’s father and brother were with him, liked Colleen, and advised Bill not to mess it up.
Colleen’s first impression of her now-husband could have been better, but he was more focused on football matches than talkling to her. However, she claims that she loved his sense of humor. She said, “He’s hilarious, very self-deprecating, and sarcastic.” They started dating immediately and have been together ever since.
Colleen worked in the athletic department of Northeastern University in Boston after graduating. She rose in prominence after Bill started making significant progress in football. The couple married in 1998, two years after their first encounter.
She Is A Philanthropist
Along with being a great partner, Colleen also earns the title of philanthropist for her charitable works. She worked with her husband to donate $100,000 to the Houston Food Bank in early 2020.
Food supplies like the Houston Food Bank were crucial during the coronavirus pandemic, and the O’Brien couple did not think twice before lending a helping hand.
Bill O’Brien Has Two Children
Bill OBrien shares two kids with Colleen OBrien. They have two sons named Jack and Michael.
Born in August 2002, his eldest son, Jack is currently 20. Similarly, his second child is currently 17, born in May 2005.
O’Brien is usually busy during the offseason while spending plenty of time with his two boys but keeps them out of media attention.
His younger kid has developed a passion for baseball. He had already started the game at 12 and was causing hitters problems with his fastball. He is a left-handed pitcher.
Although he has preferred to keep his family life very private, Bill and his children made a TV appearance in 2020 during the covid crisis. They appeared on the NFL draft broadcast, where his oldest son, Jack, had a sign that said, “Thank you, Frontline heroes.”
