Jake Was Trained By His Father

Bard Arthur took over as coach of Jake under 12 and enjoyed it so much that he did it for several seasons as the team advanced from the second division to the first division.

Brad said “The best aspect of it all was that you were coaching for fun instead of a job in the NRL, where there were a lot of expectations. I didn’t feel judged, and that’s what kept me passionate about football.”

They are preparing Matthew, Arthur’s younger son, to get the same training as he progresses through the Eels’ junior ranks.

His Success As Head Coach Of The Parramatta Eels

Parramatta finished in 10th place in the 2014 NRL Season under Brad Arthur’s leadership in his first season as head coach. With only six victories during the entire season, he coached Parramatta to the club’s 14th wooden spoon in 2018.
