What Did Chris Pincher Do?
Chris Pincher has been accused of groping two men at the Carlton Club. The incident happened on Wednesday night, June 29, 2022.
He resigned as the Deputy Whip saying that he had embarrassed himself. In the resignation letter, the politician told the PM that he was "extremely drunk" and felt "embarrassed me and other people". Witnesses also confirmed that the politician was "very inebriated" at the Carlton Club on Wednesday night.
According to the SUN newspaper, he wrote: “I’ve embarrassed myself and other people which is the last thing I want to do and for that, I apologize to you and to those concerned."
“I think the right thing to do in the circumstances is for me to resign as deputy chief whip. I owe it to you and the people I’ve caused upset, to do this."

Furthermore, Pincher stated: “I want to assure you that you will continue to have my full support from the back benches, and I wish you all the best as you deal with the aftershocks of Covid and the challenges of international inflation. It has been the honor of my life to have served in Her Majesty’s Government.”
The Sun also reports that "many concerned Tory MPs complained to the Conservative whips' office about Mr. Pincher's behavior." Mass gathering of people in the small area with a bar at the exclusive members' club, including fellow MPs, ministers, club executives, and public relations professionals witnessed the incident.
Interestingly, Pinch was also accused of sexual misconduct in the year 2017. Back then, he was serving as the Assistant Whip and Comptroller of the Household.
