Swimmer Claire Curzan Parents Mark Curzan and Tracy Curzan

Claire Curzan was born to her parents Mark Curzan and Tracy Curzan on 30th June 2004.

The 18-year-old was raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, by her beloved mom and dad, along with her siblings. She began swimming when she was only three, and the elder Curzans supported her dream to make it big.

The swimmer became the world junior record holder in the short course 50-meter freestyle and 100-meter butterfly. Furthermore, Claire has won several gold and silver medals by competing in the 2019 World Junior Swimming Championships, 2020 Summer Olympics, 2021 World Short Course Championships, and other international championships.

Furthermore, Mark and Tracy also appeared in an interview with Cary Orthopaedics and shared how proud they are of their daughter's achievements. They revealed how amazed they were to witness the journey of the little three-year-old swimming in the local pool flourish along the way and represent the United States on the international platform.

Mark Curzan Is An Orthopaedic  Surgeon

Clarie's dad Mark Curzan is an Orthopedic surgeon affiliated with Wakemed Cary Hospital per WebMD.

Mark is also a sports medicine specialist, working in Cary, NC, and ten other locations. Furthermore, he graduated from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA in 1994 and earned his sports medicine fellowship from the Steadman-Hawkins Clinic in Vail, CO.

The doctor completed his residency at Duke University Medical Center and became a part of the Cary Orthopaedics family in 2001. Furthermore, Curzan served as the on-site team physician for the U.S. Ski Team at numerous professional downhill races. Moreover, he is now a team physician for Apex Friendship High School and Fuquay-Varina High School, per his Cary Orthopaedics profile.

The swimmer has two siblings, an older brother named Sean Curzan and a younger sister named Kate Curzan.

Sean is also a competitive swimmer, and his middle sister began swimming after watching her brother in the pool. Furthermore, as per a source, he served as the coach of the Stingrays. 

The older Curzan attends the University of North Carolina, per his LinkedIn profile, and serves as an appeal coordinator at UNC Club Swim Team. He also works with the Association for Carolina Emergency Response and Injury Prevention as an emergency medical technician basic.

Claire also taught Kate to swim, but the youngest Curzan followed in their mother's footsteps to become a soccer player. Tracy played soccer at Harvard, and Mark was a strong athlete growing up, having played water polo and swimming competitively.

The Curzan family are dog fanatics, and they have two dogs. The athlete's siblings are also on social media but have maintained private Instagram accounts under the handles @scurzan and @katieeee_grace__curzan.
