Ella, however, got sick on Friday and was rushed to an emergency room nearby. She was transported to Washington, D.C., via a flight on Saturday morning.

Ella’s 15-year-old sister has left the world because of brain cancer. Thus Bresee is away from the team. The players planned to tribute her during last week’s game against Furman by wearing “Ella Strong” T-shirts and writing that phrase on their uniforms.

According to Clemson sports information, she was supposed to be transported to a hospital in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, a few hours before the game. Bresee participated in the 35-12 triumph but went away to be with his family.
