Tim Thibault, FBi Agent Fired For Supressing Hunter Biden’s Laptop

Tim Thibault, a special FBI agent, was forced to resign from his post a week ago in the heat of whistleblower allegations.

After being questioned by Congress for alleged political prejudice in conducting the probe of Hunter Biden’s laptop computer, a senior FBI employee in the bureau’s Washington field office unexpectedly quit.

According to reports, Tim Thibault, a former deputy special agent in command of the FBI’s Washington Field Office, was hauled out of the organization on Friday over claims made by a whistleblower that he displayed political bias in the way he handled politically sensitive cases.

Why Was Tim Thibault Fired? FBI Agent Suppressed Hunter Biden’s Laptop

According to information from The Washington Times, the FBI special agent in charge, Timothy Thibault, was made to resign or be fired from his position.

Two retired FBI agents with firsthand knowledge of the circumstances provided the information. However, it is still unclear if Mr. Thibault walked away willingly or if the agency was compelled to let him go.

Due to information concerning political remarks he made while in charge of the public corruption section, the 25-year FBI veteran was placed on leave for at least a month.

Whistleblowers claimed that Thibault misled FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland about the politically biased nature of the proof to obtain their approval to launch an independent investigation into former President Donald Trump in 2020.

There have been multiple stories in recent months preceding the Mar-a-Lago search. FBI whistleblowers reported to Congressional offices of a political atmosphere that purportedly tried to conceal negative news concerning the president’s son Hunter Biden and his now notorious laptop.

Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook CEO, said the social media behemoth censored “The Post’s shocking Hunter Biden report” in response to an ambiguous FBI caution about potential “Russian propaganda” connected to the 2020 presidential race.

The Republican senators have publicly started investigating Thibault for his allegations regarding the matter.

Former FBI agent Timothy “Tim” Thibault is charged with using political and social media platforms and working to obstruct the investigation into the economic dealings of the president’s son.

Thibault, who served at the FBI for over 25 years, was placed on administrative leave for at least a month following information regarding political remarks he made while in charge of the public corruption section.

On Thursday, Christopher Wray remained coy about whether or not the accusations against Thibault were true, perhaps attempting to protect his capacity to make an unbiased judgment on possible penalties for the agent. The FBI director emphasized that Kennedy’s allegations did not represent the FBI.

Wray appeared to cast suspicion on Thibault’s recent involvement in Hunter Biden-related projects. Thibault was assisting in overseeing the FBI investigation of Hunter Biden, President Biden’s son, in the 2020 presidential election.
