Where Is Graham Bell On Ski Sunday?

Graham Bell is still working with Ski Sunday. Graham will not be one of the 2023 presenters alongside Chemmy Alcott. 

Bell is a former Olympic skier who learned to ski in the Cairngorm Mountains and Hillend dry slope and competed for Britain throughout the 1980s and 1990s. 

As an athlete, he represented Great Britain at five Winter Olympics in 1984 Sarajevo, 1988 Calgary, 1992 Albertville 1992, 1994 Lillehammer, and 1998 Nagano. The skier retired in 1998 and started his television career commentating live on the World Cup Ski Circuit at Eurosport.

He then moved to Ski Sunday and has been with them for over two decades. Graham’s other TV credit includes The Gadget Show, Through the Keyhole, Market Kitchen, Celebrity Eggheads, Ready Steady Cook, and more.

Has Graham Bell Left Ski Sunday?

Graham Bell has not left Ski Sunday. Bell was missing in the recent episode but has not left the tv show.

The latest episode of Ski Sunday, a BBC Sports’ weekly magazine-style television show that covers winter sports, broadcasted the classic slalom race in Adelboden on the 8th of January, 2023.

Graham will not be one of the presenters alongside Chemmy Alcott in 2023. They are both the ambassadors of Snow Finel.

It featured Dave Ryding, who became the first British to win a World Cup alpine skiing event in 2022 in 2022 Kitzbühel slalom. He has competed in four Olympics, seven World Championships and won the Europa Cup for Great Britain. 

Likewise, Jenny Jones’s travel to the USA to meet the amputee Vasu Sojitra got featured in the show’s latter half. Vasu lost his right leg at nine months, yet he hikes and shreds enormous mountains with an unmatched style and passion.

Graham Bell is on Ski Sunday in the commentary box. Bell is not one of the presenters this year.

He shared his recent shift in position through comments on his social media.

The tv presenter made a Twitter post on the 9th of January with the caption, “Ski Sunday on now. It’s a great race from Adelboden.” 

Graham revealed his move to the commentary box via a Tweet comment.

Many users were curious to learn if he was no longer presenting following his absence in the recent episode in the comment section. He replied to Adam Swift, saying he had moved into the commentary box. 

Bell has been a part of Ski Sunday for over 20 years and won the 2002 Royal Television Society award with his team. He also presented and did the commentary for the 2002, 2006, 2010, and 2014 Winter Olympics.

Ski Sunday Presenters 2023

Ski Sunday presenters for 2023 are Ed Leigh and Chemmy Alcott.

The duo will host the site of the longest and fastest downhill race on the World Cup tour from Wengen on the 15th of January, 2023. 

The official Instagram account of the television show updated that a new series is underway, along with a picture of Ed, Chemmy, Alex Clarke, and Chris Kirkham on the 10th of January 2022.

Leigh and Alcott have been presenting Ski Sunday for the past ten years, and the first episode of the new series aired on the 8th of January, 2023.

Apart from that, Ed regularly works for Red Bull TV, hosting live events from skateboarding, and BMX, to Enduro and mountain biking. He has also worked with Whisper Films and Whitelines Snowboard Magazine (editor).

Chemmy began her career as a guest commentator following her injury lay-off at the start of the 2009 World Cup season. She was an active World Cup alpine ski racer from 1997 till her retirement in 2014. The former alpine skier also defeated Graham in a head-to-head slalom race filmed for Ski Sunday in February 2018.
