For many, 2020 was a year to forget but not for the two Dominican Republic natives. They met during the pandemic year and tied the knot at the end of the year in December. 

Raengel was a frequent visitor at Comerica Park and would be posting sweet tributes to the baseball player on his matchday. Though she will continue to post those tributes once MLB season begins, we won’t be seeing her often at the home of the Detroit Tigers.

The two-time All-star Gregory was traded to Philadelphia Phillies in a deal that involved five players. So get ready to see more of the famous weather anchor at Citizens Bank Park. 

Gregory Soto Married Raengel Solis In 2020

Gregory Soto met his wife Raengel Solis in 2020 and tied the knot in the same year.

Raengel gave hints that she was no longer single in November 2020 when she posted a photo of a bouquet of roses and a teddy bear. Many fans of the anchor in the comment section were a bit dishearted but were curious to know who had stolen her heart.

Finally, on January 1, 2021, Raengel revealed that the person she was seeing was none other than the baseball star Gregory Soto. She shared the photo of the two dawning overalls as they took the picture underneath a Christmas tree set up in their home. 

But what the news anchor didn’t share was that she had already tied the knot with the baseball player. On December 14, 2021, Solis shared a photo of the couple celebrating their first anniversary. 

The first time she shared the news of her marriage with Gregory Soto was on February 15, 2021, when they had already been married for two months. She shared a gallery of images from their wedding ceremony and penned a sweet message for her husband.

For the next few days after the wedding, Solis shared several images of their ceremony, including pictures of their family members and friends. She fit in perfectly with Gregory’s family though he has a son from his previous relationship. 

In 2021, Raengel walked the red carpet of the All-Star Game hand in hand with her husband and his son, Yadiel. In the event, she showed her growing baby bump. On August 28, 2021, Solis confirmed that she and Gregory were expecting their first child together. 

On February 15, 2022, the couple welcomed their first kid, Grencell Soto, with the toddler accompanying his parents and his brother to last year’s All-Star event. 

Raengel Solis Is A Weather Reporter

Raengel Solis has been working as a weather reporter for Telemundo 47 New York since 2018.

The Dominican Republic native, Raengel previously worked for Telemundo 49 based in Tampa, Florida, and has been working as an anchor since 2011. Gregory Soto’s partner had previously dabbled in the fashion world and has achieved quite a bit of success over there as well. 

In 2009, Raengel was the fifth runner-up in the Miss Dominican Republic beauty pageant. The anchor shared a throwback picture on her Instagram handle in 2021, sharing a series of images from the event.

In 2020, she and her team were recognized with two Emmy Awards. Telemundo 47 was recognized for their report on the Weekend Newscast Snow Storm, which was reported on March 3, 2019, and the other was a team coverage on Snow Storm. 

Telemundo 47 was once again nominated for five Emmys the following year and won one of the categories. The reporter shared the news on her Instagram handle and sent out a congratulatory message to her team and thank you note to her fans.

On Instagram, Solis has found a major fan following and has over 24k followers. Her model-like physique and how she commands herself on air are certainly eye-catching. 

So, there’s no doubt we will soon see her with many more awards in her bags. 

Gregory Soto Is The Father Of Two Kids

Gregory Soto has two kids and shares one of them with his spouse Raengel Solis.

The relief pitcher, Gregory, has a child named Yadiel from his previous relationship and has a son named Grencell with Raengel.

Yadiel Soto, age 5, was born in 2017 and is the first child of Gregory Soto.

Though there isn’t any information available about Gregory’s first partner, Yadiel has certainly made a place in the heart of Raengel, who is often seen calling Yadiel her son. 

The Phillies pitcher has a tattoo of his son’s name in large letters across the outer part of his right forearm. Speaking to The Athletic in 2021, Gregory said it was the one that meant the most to him. 

Yadiel has often been seen with his father attending the All-Star game events in 2021 and 2022. He has also been pictured hanging out with his little brother and cousins on Raengel’s Instagram handle. 

Grencell Soto

Grencell Soto, 11 months old, was born in February 2022. The first child of Gregory and Raengel attended his first baseball game as a one-month-old in March 2022 at the Tigertown Stadium. 

February is certainly a month of celebration for the Soto family, as Grencell shares birth month with his parents. In 2022, Grencell accompanied his parent and brother to his first All-Star game, and they were also featured in a slow-mo camera. 

On May 5, 2022, Grencell visited Comercia Park with his mom to cheer on his dad, and it seems it was probably his last visit to the stadium as a Detroit Tigers supporter. The next time he comes to Comerica Park, he will wear the famous colors of the Phillies.
