Around six months before, Lou uploaded a photo of him with his girlfriend and captioned it, “Miami Liv’n.” They may have been dating for more than six months at least. 

Likewise, Danielle’s Insta wall is full of her boyfriend’s pictures. They make a wonderful couple. 

Hedley is yet to be a father. But he does have a nephew whom he loves so much.  

Lou Hedley has established himself as one of the greatest Miami punters of his generation. 

After his excellent display in Australian rules football, it was clear that Hedley had all the skills required to become a coming-of-age punter in American football. So, the scouts gave him the idea to move to the United States. 

However, Hedley had academic issues and didn’t have the grades to join junior college. He wasn’t economically sound either. He had a stake in a tattoo shop he started with his friend. He sold that stake and made his journey to the US. 

Lou was passionate about building muscles and gaining weight in the gym. He was already superior in strength, and it became an excellent addition to his punting game. 

As a result, he signed with Miami Hurricanes on February 6, 2019. 

Lou Hedley was deemed one of the unique punters, but very few expected him to be this successful. 

As a Hurricanes sophomore, the 29-year-old had an exceptional first season with the team. He averaged 43.9 yards per punt on 64 punts. He had a long punt of 51 yards in the home opener versus Bethune-Cookman, introducing himself to American football. 

Likewise, his 2020 season was arguably one of the best seasons in the history of Miami punter. He averaged 47.3 yards per punt, ranking 2nd in FBS in the regular season in punting. He also had a long punt of 60 yards, beating his old record by a wide margin. 

As a result, he was the finalist for the Ray Guy award in 2020. Hedley fell short of winning the award, but he had won the hearts of every Miami fan then and there. 

During the 2020 season, Lou was recognized with Associated Press second-team All-America honors. He also earned second-team All-ACC recognition. The former Australian rules footballer was named ACC Specialist of the Week two times. 

As a Redshirt junior in 2021, Lou’s records were equally appalling. He was ranked one of the best punters in NCAA for the second time in two years. He was a semi-finalist for the Ray Guy award. 

In 2021, the punter averaged 44.9 punts per yard, throwing 11 punts of more than 50 years. He had a long punt of 62 yards, beating his record from his previous season.

The punter has tattoos covering almost every part of his upper body muscles. He has them on his arms, chest, torsos, and stomach. His whole body looks like a painting of tattoos. 

According to his interview with BR, he got his first tattoo at 15. He got his first tattoo on his biceps in Hongkong. It is his last name, Hedley. Soon, the tattoo would give rise to many tattoos that would eventually cover his whole body. 

Hedley has often said that tattoos so drive him. He just can’t resist getting them whenever he enters the tattoo shop. His love and passion for tattoos led him to open a tattoo shop with his friend in Australia. He later sold the shop to move to the US.
