The horse trainer was taken into custody and accused of felony criminal obstruction of breathing. On Thursday morning, a judge will hear his case. The Saratoga Springs Police report that Brown was taken into custody on Wednesday.

He was compelled to pay over $1.6 million in overdue wages and penalties to employees at the Saratoga Race Course and other New York racetracks back in 2019.

Brown and his business allegedly broke the fair labor standards statute by failing to pay grooms and hot walkers, pay overtime, and maintain the necessary time and payroll records.

Two horses owned by Brown were entered in races on Thursday at Saratoga. Nabokov is in the eighth race on the card, which is an allowance. In the New York Stallion Series Stakes, Robyn and Eli compete in the ninth event. In races scheduled for Friday and Saturday, he also had 14 additional horses.
