The Canadian figure skater Kurt Browning married the former competitive figure skater Alissa Czisny; they decided on forever on the 11th of August 2022.

The newly wedded couple kept their love life lowkey, so their marriage announcement surprised many. Yet they have received nothing but love, support, and congratulatory messages for their wedding.

They are both accomplished athletes; Alissa is a two-time Skate Canada champion, U.S. Professional Open Grand Champion, and U.S. national champion. Likewise, she is the 2010 Grand Prix Final champion and the 2011 Skate America champion.

Before tying the knot with his now-wife Alissa, Kurt walked down the aisle with the Canadian ballet dancer Sonia Rodriguez.

The figure skater and ballet dancer married on the 30th of June 1996; however, their marriage didn’t last forever, so they went on separate paths. Eventually, Browning met his better half after divorcing his ex-wife.

Sonia served as the National Ballet of Canada’s principal dancer for over two decades until she retired as the longest-serving dancer in the company in 2022; she joined it in 1990.

Furthermore, she has danced in roles such as the title role in Cinderella, Dulcinea in George Balanchine’s Don Quixote, and Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty; she also performed at numerous ballet galas. 

Browning and Czisny have two decades of generation gap as he is 56 years old, and his significant other is 35.

The figure skater was born in 1966 in Rocky Mountain House, Canada, whereas his significant other was born in 1987 in Sylvania, Ohio. Although they don’t share the same birth year, their birthday falls in the same month, i.e., June.

Furthermore, when Kurt represented Canada in the 1988 Winter Olympics, Alissa was only a year old; he began his figure skating journey before his wife made it to the world.

The figure skater has two teenage sons he shares with his ex-wife, Gabriel Browning Rodriguez & Dillon Browning Rodriguez.

While Kurt was married to Sonia, the pair welcomed their first child Gabriel in 2003, and he turned 19 on the 12th of July 2022. Later in 2007, they had their second child Dillon; he celebrated his 15th birthday on the 14th of August 2022.

Although Browning hasn’t shared any information and pictures of his children on the media, Rodriguez has posted some of the many moments she spent with her beloved kids on her social networking sites.

The ballerina mom loves the teenagers to infinity and beyond, and they make her life more colorful. Furthermore, the trio also appeared on the cover of Parents Canada when the boys were younger.

Moreover, unlike his parents, Dillon has pursued boxing; having a father who did figure skating and a mom who did ballet dancing must have influenced him to pursue an athletic career. The 15-year-old had his first boxing match at Niagara in September 2022.

Browning, who serves as a figure skater, choreographer, and commentator, has accumulated a net worth of $5 million throughout his career.

The four-time World Champion began active in the athletic world over three decades ago and has won many competitions; he debuted for the CBC television special in 1994 and has been serving as a regular color commentator at major skating events for the CBC since 2006.

Since then, the athlete has won several competitions, including Winter Olympics and World Championships. Furthermore, he holds a Guinness World Record for landing the first ratified quadruple jump, a toe loop, in the 1988 World Championships.
