Is Keaontay Ingram Related To Mark Ingram? Brother and Family Ties

Keaontay Ingram has no relation with Mark Ingram despite playing the same position and sharing the same surname.

The 22-year-old Carthage, Texas homegrown Keaontay, was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2022 NFL Draft and began his professional National Football League this year. 

Meanwhile, Mark Ingram, addressing Mark Ingram II, not his father Mark Ingram Sr., plays for the New Orleans Saints in the National Football League (NFL). Mark is 32 and has played in the league for over a decade. 

During the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft, the Saints selected Mark II as the first overall pick. While playing for the Saints, he was nominated for participation in three Pro Bowls and finished his career as the Saints all-time leader in running yards. Additionally, Ingram has played for the Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans throughout his career.

Keaontay and Mark have the same last name, which cannot be refuted. Not only do they have a similar name, but also they play the same position in the same league, which is running back.

This leads some to believe that they could be related to one another. The brains of humans are constantly trying to find a pattern, and the two players with the last name “Ingram” may very well fit the specialization. Therefore, they are easily swayed by the idea that Keaontay and Mark are connected. But they are not.

Keaontay Ingram is fortunate to have sibling brothers who are equally adept and finding their way out to the top.

His younger brother Kelvontay Dixon joined Texas University and united with him at the Texas Longhorns football club in 2020. They had indulged in their own little dream by spending the whole day in their garden acting out at a football game during their childhood.

The two brothers eventually attend high school and play sports on Friday evenings. They will rise to the status of revered people in their school and community. They’re going to sweep the state championships, and then they will be ready to do it all over again in college.

The backyard is where the majority of children’s dreams come to an end. Similarly, Keaontay’s cousin is also a football player. He received a scholarship at Sam Houston State. In addition, Darrian Ingram is playing as a defensive starter for the Bulldogs. 

Even though this is just Rayvon Ingram, his other bother’s first year as a full-time varsity player, the young sophomore has already seen significant minutes on both offense and defense.

Close Ties With Brother Kelvontay Dixon

When it comes to blood relatives, Keaontay Ingram and Dixon are the nearest and dearest. Most of the rest are distant relatives. They’ve been friends and teammates since they were kids and played Pop Warner and neighborhood league sports together.

Kelvontay Dixon, Keaontay Ingram’s sibling, is another one of the rising football players in the Ingram family. Before breaking his ankle in game three, he was the backup running back and starting safety.

They had a typical upbringing for youngsters in East Texas. Both of them ditched their shoes and raced outdoors. They were playing football when they weren’t out chasing down rabbits with their BB guns.

No harm was intended. The middle school years were when they first started planning for the rest of their lives. Success in high school football in Texas through scoring several touchdowns and winning multiple titles.

The four Ingram brothers and their squad are focused on achieving even greater success. It’s hard to believe that out of all the youngsters playing make-believe in their yards, they’re the ones who get to live out their dream. Most young people either lack the motivation or natural ability to succeed. The Ingrams family is fortunate to have both.

Keaontay Ingram came from a big family consisting of his parents and nine siblings. He was born on October 26, 1999, in Marshall, Texas.

The people that make up Ingram’s family include his mother, Brandie Ingram, and his father, Damon Ellis, as well as his brothers. Ingram spent his childhood in Carthage, Texas, and went to Carthage High School, where he participated in football, track and field, and basketball.

In 2016, he led his team to victory in 4A Division I in the state championships and was voted the game’s Offensive Most Valuable Player. In 2017, he assisted Carthage in achieving a 16-0 overall record, including a 6-0 district mark and a district championship.

Later Keaontay was recruited by the Texas Longhorns and played for the team for three years. Keaontay first became a player of the Texas Longhorns in 2018 and has continued to play for the team until 2021.

But he was not the first one to play football in his family. Rickey Ingram was a player for the Carthage teams that won the state title in 2009 and 2010, and he was a part of both of those squads. JaMarcus Ingram, Dewaylon Ingram’s brother, spent his formative years in Dallas. He graduated from South Oak Cliff High School and is now enrolled as a freshman in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Utah State.

Meanwhile, Keaontay Ingram and his brother Dixon’s mom, Brandie Ingram, spent two years playing hoops at Ranger College after getting her start in Carthage. Now at Carthage, she assists the head coach of the women’s basketball team.
