Nicole Shanahan is of mixed racial and ethnic heritage. She was born in China to Chinese Asian parents, and her mother is a Chinese immigrant. Her father's identity, however, remains unknown. She follows Christianity as her religion.

Shanahan was raised in Oakland, California, by her single mother. Nicole is well-known in the media and the general public as an attorney, entrepreneur, and patent rights expert. Moreover, Nicole is also the founder and CEO of ClearAccessIP, a patent management system.

She established the Stanford Computational Policy Lab and works as the organization's founder. Similarly, she is also the founder of the Buck Institute for Research on Aging's inaugural Center for Reproductive Longevity and Equality. 

The American lawyer, entrepreneur, and patent specialist is famed for marrying Google co-founder Sergey Brin; nevertheless, the couple separated in January this year.

While Nicole Shanahan is popular in the digital world, very little is known about her mother and father. As we mentioned, the businesswoman belongs to a mixed race; some sources also report her to be Irish due to her last name "Shanahan." However, her Irish ancestry has not yet been proven.

Nicole was born in Oakland, the US, in 1983. Her mother, who is Chinese, raised her in a low-income Oakland home along with Nicole's aunt. Her family came from a low-income family that struggled to afford proper food and clothing.

Nicole Shanahan's first husband was Jeremy Asher Kranz. On September 4, 2014, Jeremy filed a divorce in San Francisco County Superior Courts, and after the divorce was final, she began dating Google co-founder Sergey Brin. 

Shanahan and Brin announced their relationship in 2015 and married on November 7, 2018. Together, they have a daughter as well. After four years of marriage, the couple divorced because Shanahan allegedly had an affair with Elon Musk.
