Simon Lizotte Is Leaving Discmania As He Has A Lucrative Offer In The Table

Simon Lizotte is leaving Discmania who has been his longtime sponsor. Disc golfer Lizotte is however not going to MVP.

Lizotte and Discmania confirmed their parting through social media posts and thanked each other for the mutual support they shared for one another’s growth.

The athlete was with the Golf Discs company throughout his 20s and spent a decade with them through highs and lows, so they share a deep attachment as a family.

Simon worked with the sponsor from 2013 to 2023 and became the 5th most successful player in the 2022 season as of the 5th of October 2022, with career earnings of $215,452. Furthermore, he won four Elite Series in 2022, the most successful season of his career.

Yes, Simon Lizotte is parting ways with Discmania. The disc golfer confirmed the news by uploading a Youtube video.

Lizotte shared how he is down for a new experience and wants to avoid getting stuck in the place he stands today. However, he has loved and will always remain close to the people he made connections on the Golf Discs store.

Simon began his journey with Discmania in 2013. He extended his five-year contract with them in 2018, expiring in 2023, and has chosen not to renew his contract for the 2023 season.

Before making the challenging move, he consulted with his friends and family and loved the idea of a fresh start. So, the athlete followed his heart, emphasized growth, and let go of the family he had been with for a decade. 

Discmania also dedicated a thank you post and a heartwarming video to their face for everything they achieved together and rooted for his bright future. They also shared that he will always remain a part of their family. 

Simon Lizotte Career So Far

Simon began throwing discs at two. He has made remarkable improvements throughout his career.

The disc golfer turned pro at 16 in 2008 and made his first A-tier win in the 2012 European Championships by defeating Karl Nybo with three strokes. He then won the Dynamic Discs Glass Blown Open in 2014, Nick Hyde Memorial and Konopiste Open in 2016, The Open at Temple in 2017, and three more in 2018.

Lizotte also competes in National Tours, and his win was in 2015 when he defeated Paul McBeth by four strokes in Ledgestone Insurance Open. Furthermore, 2022 was his most successful season, with four Elite Series wins on the Disc Golf Pro Tour. The athlete has also held the disc golf distance world record several times.

Is Simon Lizotte Going To MVP?

Lizotte is not joining MVP Disc Sports. Simon wants some time off from the game.

The disc player has yet to confirm his next move. He shared that someone reached out to him and made an offer he couldn’t let go of but didn’t disclose the sponsor’s tag. It assured him of his growth in the sports he loves.
