To those unknown about rape allegations against Navarro, a Filipino model Deniece Cornejo filed a lawsuit against Navarro for alleged sexual assault on January 22, 2014, the same night Navarro was beaten up by a group of men.

Navarro claims that Cornejo, Cedric Lee, and their other friends attacked him for extortion money. In the meantime, Cornejo’s defense team argued that Lee and the company discovered him trying to rape Cornejo, which is why he got attacked. Their legal battle ended with a massive social media outcry wherein Cornejo lost the suit. However, in a judgment dated July 21, 2022, the 14th Division of the Court of Appeals (CA) overturned and annulled earlier decisions from the Department of Justice (DOJ) from 2018 and 2020 that dismissed Cornejo’s 2014 complaint alleging Navarro of attempting to force her in sexual things.

The defense team for Cornejo argued that she was the innocent party and that she had been the victim of two different crimes: first, a sexual attack, and then, a trial where she was falsely accused and Navarro took the benefit of the doubt. On the other hand, Navarro’s team was working to submit a move for reconsideration of the CA’s judgment.

Nevertheless, now the news reports that the illegal case file has gone missing.
