Jai Serong praised his elder brother Caleb Serong for being a role model to him. Jai was drafted by Mulgrave-based club Hawthorn in the 2021 AFL Draft.
Meanwhile, Caleb was selected by the Dockers in the 2019 AFL Draft. And before the 2021 draft was finalized, many had believed that Jai would be heading towards Fremantle and joining her brother at the club.
However, he took a 180-degree turn and chose Hawthorn instead. Though he duly admires his brother, he did not join his club Fremantle. “Caleb’s been a massive mentor for me and my whole career so far, he’s lent a helping hand with advice.”

Caleb Serong’s younger brother Jai Serong has turned 19 years of age. The young boy was born on February 16, 2003, in the Victorian country town of Inverloch.
